Seyfarth Shaw
Seyfarth Shaw is a national law firm with over 600 attorneys and legal professionals. The firm has a reputation as a national, and more recently, international, full-service law firm. Although its history is rooted in labor and employment law, the firm attracts clients across industries; private and public sectors.
Problem
Seyfarth Shaw was on the verge of rolling out new messaging and a new print marketing campaign; however, their website did not reflect the new messaging. They also needed the ability to make content updates to the site quickly and easily once the new messaging, look and feel was in place. Originally Seyfarth Shaw engaged Duo Consulting to develop a content management system and work with their outside advertising agency in translating the new visual brand from the print work onto the website. During the course of development a new marketing team was instituted at Seyfarth Shaw as well as an internal design team. This new internal design group started the campaign design work from scratch and included the website in its work. Duo was able to quickly shift gears and integrate the new design the Seyfarth team developed, back into the nearly-completed content management system.
Solutions
- Asset-Based Content Management System (CMS): Duo developed a complex, asset-based content management system that allows easy cross-referencing between attorney biographies, practice areas and industries.
- Event Setup and Registration: The CMS allows administrators to quickly set up events occurring at different locations across the country and track individual registrations from the site based on location.
- Attorney Biography Export: The CMS includes an attorney biography export tool which allows administrators to pick and choose data fields for export into an Excel file. This ensures that online content and offline content presented is consistent for clients and prospects.
Results
- New design was up, running and fully integrated with the new CMS in less than eight weeks.
- Search engine-friendly architecture insured rapid indexing of new site in search engines and natural search prominence against keyword searches.
- Cascading Style Sheets development insures printed website pages format naturally to paper while also eliminating display of website navigation.
- Website is compliant with The Americans with Disabilities Act as required under ADA Title I.
